Las Vegas Day 4

My last full day in Vegas and I was running out of things to do.

Inside ph the floors had been nicely shined giving the chandeliers a hologram effect.

In a celebrity tack shop Lou Ferrigno (the original hulk) was doing a signing. He looked bored and spent most of the time chewing protein bars.

A nice looking restaurant at the back of Miracle Mile.

In another part of the mall, one of the streets is hit with a storm. Basically they turn on the sprinklers and add thunder and lightning effects.

In an attempt to tap into the Hooters crowd the Hawaiian Tropic bar features bikini clad staff. Where are they you might ask. On my other photos, thats where :D

One thing that annoys me about America is the number of overweight lazy people in electric chairs, but this guy was cool and was attracting a lot of attention from everyone.

There is always a lot of construction going on in Vegas which can blight a holiday.

Another slightly off-putting thing about Vegas is the Mexican people trying to tout porn. In 2002 they would just hand out adverts for call girls. This time they had little business cards that they would flick as you approached. Really annoying initially but you eventually learn to ignore them.

Peter Lik in the Mandalay (also at the Venetian and Caeser's Palace) is a photographer who takes some amazing photos and then changes a fortune for them. I can spend ages walking around his galleries.

A mist effect at the Bellagio, which is themed around Lake Como, which is why George Clooney likes this place so much.

Another wooden horse, this one is in Caeser's Palace. Not as impressive as the one at Mt. Olympus though.

In another celebrity signing session, someone called Pete Rose was attracting a small crowd. I think he's a baseball legend so meaningless to those of us from the UK.

As well as Elton John, Cher is doing a show at Caesers. I wonder if she'd melt under the lights?

That night, I went to see O at the Bellagio. It was another amazing show but not as good as Ka. It's trick is that the stage is a pool with a floor that lifts up within it to change the depth. So one moment people are walking over it, the next they're diving into it.

Once again a really amazing show that clearly isn't going to move from here.

Finally I got to see the dancing fountains. The pictures really don't do this justice so I found a clip of the track that I heard.

Totally appropriate. "Time to Say Goodbye" by Sarah Brightman and Andrea Bocelli put the perfect ending on my trip, and I didn't wait around to catch any other pieces. It still gives me goosebumps watching it now.

My final dinner was spent at Noodles in the Bellagio, which was chosen on account of it being the only place open that didn't need black tie to eat there. I had a wonderful bowl of beef soup that was way to plentiful to finish and ended up chatting to cosmetic surgeon who's portfolio of facial reconstruction work had been stolen by a rather unsavoury doctor on Harley St.

No Coyote Ugly tonight as I was too tired and blown away by the fountains.
